Measure
A complete set of measurements includes every wall length and height, every window opening and sill height, every door opening and swing direction. Record these on a dimensioned floor plan.
Document the Light
Visit the space at different times of day. Photograph wide-angle shots from each corner and the quality of light at different hours.
